ABOUT
The Festival sets out to present the best live comedy of the year and there is no better place in the country to do this than Brighton. The heady air of the seaside combines with some of the world’s funniest people to create a mixture that is unmissable. In addition to their well established hub at Brighton Dome, the festival will once again be returning to Old Market. They will also be working in partnership with Brighton’s year round comedy heart at Komedia including their legendary Krater Comedy Club. With over 70 performances across 16 days, the city really will be awash with laughter.

Opening Night Gala with Alan Carr – 5 October
Venue: Brighton Dome, Concert Hall 8pm
Alan carr returns tot he hosting hot seat for this year’s Opening Night Gala, in aid of Sussex Beacon. He’ll be joined by a stellar line up including Jo Brand, Abandoman, Paul Chowdhry, Seann Walsh and Simon Evans to name but a few. £25
Jon Richardson – 7 October
Venue: Brighton Dome, Concert Hall 8pm
Host of Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week, team captain for 8 out of 10 Cats. Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee and best selling author – this busy lad is back on the road and dropping by Brighton with all his best bits. £17.50
Jenny Eclair – 7 October
Venue: Brighton Dome Studio 7.45pm
After thirty years in the business she should vaguely know what she’s doing? Professional Grumpy Old Woman, writer and panto star; Eclair has been round the block that many times she’s lost count. Touring as a stand up gives Eclair enormous pleasure. It also gives her dreadful varicose veins, but most importantly it gives her partner a bit of a break. £17.50
Ross Noble – 9/10 October
Venue: Brighton Dome, Concert Hall 8pm
After two year break Ross Noble the demonic scarecrow himself is back doing what he does best with a new live tour. Famed for his fiery freewheeling style, Noble creates comedy gold from tiny particles of random nonsense. This is your chance to see one of the world’s most critically acclaimed stand ups in a hysterical night with the Mindblender. £25
Greg Davies – 11 October
Venue: Brighton Dome, Concert Hall 8pm
Since first coming to prominence as the sardonic Head of Sixth Form, Mr Gilbert, in the BAFTA award-winning The Inbetweeners, Greg has brought his unique brand of comedy to some of the Uk’s best loved comedy show including; Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Ask Rhod Gilbert, Would I Lie To You and Never Mind the Buzzocks. £20
Jack Dee – 12 October
Venue: Brighton Dome, Concert Hall 8pm
After six year absence from stand up, he’s back, agonising over the slightest of annoyances and misdemeanors. Where’s he been? Appearing on shows like QI and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 out of 10 Cats and Have I Got News For You, hosting Radio 4’s legendary I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, co-writing and starring in four series of BBC 2’s hit sitcom Lead Balloon and writing his memoirs, Thanks For Nothing. £21
Dara O Briain – 17 October
Venue: Brighton Dome, Concert Hall 8pm
Following 2010’s 150 date sell-out tour of the UK and Ireland and best selling DVD This Is the Show, Irish funny man Dara O Brian hits the road again with a brand new show for 2012. Dara is one of the most recognisable faces on British TV, hosting Mock the Week, The Apprentice – You’re Fired. £21
Russell Kane – 19 October
Venue: Brighton Dome, Concert Hall 8pm
What if I’m one of the guys who never has a baby? Why is this not a ‘male subject’? I plan to give birth, live on stage, then raise it – in front of you. Come along! £17.50
