Brighton’s Science Festival is back to liven up your February once more, with a wide range of weird and wonderful exhibitions, talks, workshops and much more all across Sussex. Prices vary but many events are FREE! Here are some of our top picks from the festival:

Bright Sparks Family Day
Hove Park Upper School hosts a full day of science fun.

Silhouettes were the selfies of their day. Learn about their history, discover how they were produced and try making them for yourself, using our copy of a Georgian-period silhouette machine. You can take home the result.

Paper Magic Workshop
Take time out to learn some easy magic tricks to amaze your friends using nothing but a piece of paper and simple technology.

Think Forensic present ‘Who Dunnit?’
Use real forensic techniques to solve a crime: fingerprints; analyzing blood spatter; identifying and matching hair and fibres under the microscope; shoe prints and tyre tracks. Serious fun for future forensic scientists.
