LGBT film festival with Brighton Pride

Brighton and Hove Pride and The Duke Of York’s Picturehouse present: ‘The Pride Film Festival‘, curated by Eyes Wide Open Queer Cinema. A series of six unique film events that celebrate LGBT icons, heroes, trailblazers and activists.

The opening night is a DIVINE double bill on July 19th, beginning with the new documentary I Am Divine, followed by the classic ‘Female Trouble‘ from John Waters.
Local drag icon Stephanie Starlet will host the event which will include live music from Prissy Lips and some amazing merchandise courtesy of Riots Not Diets. Dust off those cha cha heels and see you there!


Friday 19th July 10pm DoY – I am Divine/Female Trouble
This will be a red carpet event with drag queens, live music, and prizes – an event fit for Divine

Sunday 21st July 1pm D@K – Bette Bourne – It Goes With the Shoes plus Q+A
Thursday 25th July 6pm D@K – The Life And Times of Harvey Milk
Friday 26th July 6pm D@K – Transpride event
Thursday 1st August 6pm D@K- Short film compilation
Sunday 4th August 1.30pm D@K or DoY – I Could Go On Singing
