The Haunt is a club located in Pool Valley coach station opposite Brighton Pier.
It attracts a mixed crowd through their live gigs and various club nights, and although it is in close proximity to other well known clubs, it has recently seen a noticeable rise of interest due to the new club night additions. The club has two levels which open to accommodate their customers on the busiest nights; the mezzanine level overlooks the stage area and bar creating an intimate atmosphere.
Since the launch of the club in February they have already played host to current successful acts The xx, Foster The People and Rizzle Kicks.
Regular weekly club nights ‘Coconut College‘ are on Thursday’s, while ‘It Is Still 1985‘ has become Brighton’s favorite 80s party on a Saturday with a range of music including Tina Turner and The Cure. With entry fees at £3, the venue is frequently full with students during university term times.
Coconut college is the new weekly party at The Haunt, every Thursday. Appealing to a diverse crowd with discounted drink offers and all kinds of music from Tom Vek to Destiny’s Child.
Fridays feature a regular change over of club nights, including the favorite 90’s night ‘Wonder Yeahs’ featuring sounds of your teens from Michael Jackson to Weezer.
The Haunt has become a popular venue for up and coming bands and artists; as a designated venue for Europe’s leading festival for New music, ‘The Great Escape’. This involved a range of bands playing at the seafront venue throughout the duration of the 3 day festival. Aside from The Great Escape festival, The Haunt frequently sells tickets for a range of music artists, such as the likes of Slow Club and The Pigeon Detectives. This smaller venue allows bands to play to a smaller audience before progressing to the larger venues within Brighton; this considered as a important stepping stone for up and coming bands.
The Haunt has become a popular venue on both week nights and weekends, with generous entry prices, discounted drinks and extensive music playlists, it is definitely a venue worth checking out.
