Things to do At The Weekend: 6 – 7 April

Published On April 2, 2013 | By We Love Brighton | Archive

Our picks for all weekend:

.Measure For Measure By William Shakespeare. This is a production about the abuse, manipulation & exploitation of power. The Old Market, 8PM. (£12)
.Communisty Arts Centre presents WOWZERS! A two part exhibition of paintings by EDWARD LIDDLE. 3PM-6PM (Free)
.Writer-director wunderkind Korine (KIDS, MISTER LONELY, GUMMO) works his typically off-beat magic on what might otherwise be pigeonholed as a trashy teen movie – but despite a bevy of bikini-clad college girls, SPRING BREAKERS is much better than that. Duke’s at Komedia, Various Times.
.Makers Boutique Exhibition returns to BFQ gallery again this year for the FOURTH time to exhibit some handmade and locally made arts and crafts. (Free)

Saturday:

.Makers Boutique at Unitarian Church. Providing a wonderful opportunity for shoppers to view latest collections & creative ideas, meet the Maker and become inspired. (Free)
.An Opera Gala For A Spring Evening at Ropetackle Arts Centre. This very special evening features Yvonne Patrick (Soprano), Louise Crane (Mezzo), Ashley Catling (Tenor), Darren Jones (Baritone) and Lesley-Anne Sammons (Piano). (£14)

Sunday:

.The Snapper Jaxx Kids Club at Churchill Square Shopping Centre is an exciting mixture of entertainment and play and each month will have a different theme. 11AM-4PM (Free)
.Bambi at The Blind Tiger. A night of sonic musical delights from five of Brighton’s most up and coming live acts. Progressive math-rock at its most ethereal.
.SPLITTING THE ATOM XIV experimental/noise/free all dayer at Green Door Store.

Other good stuff:

.Brighton Sand Sculpture Festival
.Free & Cheap Things to do in April

.Win 2 VIP Tickets to inyoo masquerade ball

.Devendra Banhart 28th June 2013
