Performin Live

SCRIMSHIRE

Performing tracks from his critically acclaimed album “The Hollow” (Album of the Week, Gilles Peterson, BBC 6Music, May 2012) Its been a long journey for this young producer and mutli-instrumentalist, ever since his grandad introduced him to an Errol Garner record when he was 14. Scrimshire’s sound is steeped in jazz, soul and funk, but with a nod to contemporary electronic sounds, and with strong popular song writing sensibilities. Scrimshire’s show kicks off a busy Autumn schedue that’ll see him releasing a new single, supporting Bonobo at Koko in London and much more!

WITH SUPPORT FROM

YUMI & THE WEATHER: New solo electronic project by Ruby Taylor, formerly of Alternative / Reggae band ‘Tin Roots’.
After gigging the past 7 years, Ruby Taylor decided to take some time out from life on the road, and commit to creating a new sound. Her first EP will draw influences from Experimental, Electronic, and Pop. At the age of 17, Ruby supported Toots and the Maytals, and went on to play hundreds of shows across Europe and the U.K, including support slots with Lee scratch Perry, Ninja Tunes’ The Herbaliser, Chaka Demus and Pliers, Finley Quaye, and The Blockheads, plus playing at festivals such as Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Shambala, Green Man Festival, Electric Picnic and many more. Now settled in Brighton, Ruby is in the process of finishing her first self-produced EP, and released her debut single as a free download in June this year.
