What kind of society are we now living in? The Apprentice may be the ‘job interview from hell’ but the polite sadism of the nameless female functionary in ‘Contractions’ gives us the job interview in purgatory. Emma has been dating her colleague Darren, her boss says she is in breach of her contract. Something must be done. Will they sell their souls to the company?

A dark and sometimes disturbing play by award winning playwright Mike Bartlett. Expect an extraordinary piece which is ferociously funny while also being absolutely appalling, at once far-fetched and then grimly plausibleStarring five star rated actors Janette Eddisford and Sally C. Davis.

Janette Eddisford is a professional actress, director and voice over artist. Janette has worked in the industry for over 25 years and is also the Creative Director of The Lantern Theatre & The Academy of Creative Training Drama School. Her working history includes: Nightingale Theatre, Brighton Theatre Collective, Ocado, 2`1st Century Film, Cbeebies, The Thameless Hussies, Footprint Theatre, Alarmist Theatre and Interact.

Director Ralf Higgins studied at Brighton University, graduating with a BA in Expressive Arts. He is an actor, director, singing coach and is Head of Movement at the A.C.T.  Some of his roles include Woyzeck, Richard III, The Tempest, The Importance of Being Earnest (winner of ‘The Stage’ award for ‘Best Ensemble’) and Who Goes There with.
