The Evening Star

The Evening Star has a fabulous range of beer of all sorts, from ale to lager to European beer. As it’s close to Brighton Railway Station, it is a must even for a ‘wet your whistle’ stop.

This village pub has been serving ale on Surrey Street since 1854 and offers 7 lines of fresh, cask-conditioned beer and 3 naturally still ciders. The staff are knowledgeable about their products and the atmosphere is great.

There is a delightful, cosy atmosphere, and you can sit outside – just don’t be shy to share a bench. Dog’s are also more than welcome in this pub. They have a fascinating selection of beers (ales, not euro-fizz), and cider.

With its knowledgeable, keen and dedicated staff, if you enjoy good beer and cider, this is a superb establishment. Also, don’t forget to check the Instagram page of The Evening Star for updates about upcoming events such as beer festivals, live music, new beer releases and more.

Address: 55-56 Surrey St, Brighton, BN1 3PB
