Oh we do love to be beside the seaside! And what could be more fitting than tucking into a delicious portion of fish and chips whilst you soak up the sun on the beach (sun dependent on season!). A short stroll out of the City centre Bardsleys award winning Brighton fish restaurant is definitely worth the walk! The business has been in the family for four generations, originally founded by the great grandfather of the family Ben who moved into the Brighton area in 1926.

Good size portions, delicious handmade chips, sustainable fish and seasonal specials make Bardsleys a must visit!

Bankers (est. 2001) strive to serve only the best quality fish and chips. Their handmade chips are made from different varieties of potatoes depending on the season and the portions are a good size. Also Their staff go through a rigorous customer service training programme to ensure that their customer service is second to none.

They also only source fish from sustainable sources and are the only company in the UK to be awarded the Icelandic Responsible Fisheries Management Award.

Brighton Pier’s famous Palm Court restaurant was referred to as the “Spiritual Home” of fish and chips by Heston Blumenthal. So come and try their Fabulous fish and chips cooked to perfection, sit down inside or take away and walk along the pier – just watch out for those seagulls! Try the famous Seaside celebration meal complete with a glass of bubbly or perhaps you can be tempted by their ‘Big Fish’ signature dish, the choice is yours….

WolfiesWolfies of Hove

A family run business with over 25 years experience, Wolfies serve the finest, sustainable fish alongside locally sourced potatoes. They carefully selected their suppliers to find the best quality, fresh ingredients. Expect tasty, succulent, flaky fish sustainably harvested from the Arctic waters of the North Atlantic. Chips are hand peeled and chipped, made using a carefully chosen potato sourced from a farm within 20 miles of the shop. Other treats at Wolfies include traditional London Pie, Mash & Liquor sauce all handmade and supplied by one of London’s oldest ‘Pie n Mash’ shops. If you plan on taking the little ones there are also great kids options including Cod Bites and 100% Chicken breast nuggets.
