Patterns celebrates its 1st birthday with the return of legendary party boy Jackmaster.
One of the most in-demand selectors around, Numbers boss Jackmaster has an impressive bag of tricks meaning you never quite know what you’re going to hear next – be it obscure disco tracks one minute, then straight-up techno the next.
Joining Jackmaster is one-third of Studio Barnhus, Kornel Kovacs.
13th May: Mr Scruff – Keep It Unreal, Concorde 2
Producer, illustrator and tea lover – the inimitable Mr Scruff’s DJ sets are always a joyous occasion.
Ninja Tune veteran and supreme selector, Mr Scruff’s sets are a melting pot of jazz, soul, hip hop, funk, disco, deep house, reggae, afrobeat, latin, electrofunk, techno, new wave and plenty of goodies that don’t fit into any category.
14th May: Joy Orbison B2B Fold, Patterns
From the early days of his sister handing him Zed Bias tapes, to making satirically titled club weapons ‘Big Room Tech House DJ Tool – TIP!’, his Hinge Finger efforts with The Trilogy Tape’s boss Will Bankhead, and being billed on all the top club & festival line-ups, Joy Orbison has made strides as both a DJ and producer.
For Joy Orbison’s Patterns debut, he’ll go back to back with fellow London tastemaker, Fold.
20th May: Mirage, Green Door Store
A special late, late night Mirage, following The Great Escape.
Get transported back to 1980s Rimini at this excellent night of unearthed Italo gems, Hi-NRG classics and disco delights served up by Matteo Balsamicco (Vanishing Point, Square Roots) and HP Sorcery (Soft Walls, Occult Hands).
21st May: The Mine with Egoless, Volks
Dubstep ambassadors The Mine bring Croatia’s finest and dubbed out producer & engineer, Egoless to Brighton.
Egoless never considered DJing and uses a mixing board to create new versions of tracks every time he performs live. Joining Egoless are Insane and Stifler Selecta from the Czech Republic, along with Donga, Sibla & DUKU with f30Hz hosting downstairs and Irie PixeL on the visuals.
28th May: Horse Meat Disco, Patterns
Round two of Horse Meat Disco’s four residencies at Patterns throughout 2016.
The Horse Meat Disco boys certainly know how to throw a party, so expect a sweaty and riotous night of wall-to-wall disco nuggets from the Rinse FM selectors, regarded as the go-to troupe for a guaranteed feel-good night.
