The New Union – Indie Rock

Published On July 17, 2012 | By We Love Brighton | Music & Nightlife Features

The New Union are a Brighton-based four piece comprised of Richard Jackson, Alex Leeder, James Baker and Leo Solti.

Their music is subtle yet undoubtedly memorable. Performance-wise, they aim to be aesthetically clean, melodically adventurous; their lyrics refreshingly simple, honest and instinctive. Having played alongside the likes of Clock Opera, Dog Is Dead, Slow Club and playing official slots at The Great Escape Festival and Tramlines, the band are building on an already encouraging live reputation. They have also been in the studio with Ian Dowling (Bombay Bicycle Club, Cave Painting, The Temper Trap) to record their first single. What The New Union offer is intrinsic melody with energy and style.
