‘Women & Abstracts’ at Brush

‘Women and Abstracts’ opens on World Aids Day 2015, featuring a solo show of new paintings by Brighton based fine artist Romany Mark Bruce. Romany is well known as the commissioned sculptor for the first AIDS memorial, which was unveiled in 2009 in Brighton. The artist’s latest body of work merges effortlessly between figurative, abstract expressionism and the space in between. Romany is a trustee of The Sussex Beacon, a charity offering specialist care and support for men, women and families affected by HIV. A specially commissioned limited edition print of his iconic painting ‘Nineteen Thirty‘ is being produced especially for this exhibition and a percentage of sales from the print will be donated to The Sussex Beacon. There will also be a chance to win a print via a raffle; tickets will be available at BRUSH for the duration of the exhibition and all proceeds will be donated to the charity.
