The changing of the clocks is fast approaching so make the most of the long(ish) days we have left! The comedy festival is in full swing and we’ve got a few good belly laughs for you here. Oxjam 2015 is sure to be a treat and there’s a Batman Musical, a brilliant, sophisticated guide to drinking, piano play and yet more running following last weekend’s Colour Run. Bat-Fan –  Join Bat-Fan James Wilson-Taylor for stand-up, sketches and songs direct from Gotham City. See all the Bat-films recapped and the world’s first Batsical (Batman musical), as James pitches himself as the next caped crusader. Directed by Jon Brittain (Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho, John Kearns: Shtick). James is the writer/performer of award-winning Fringe comedy I Need A Doctor: The Whosical.



logoOxjam Brighton Takeover – The UK’s biggest ever charity music festival is back in Brighton for another year this October 17th, showcasing the very best of Brighton’s local music talent in a one day multi venue music festival. Oxjam is Oxfam’s month-long music festival. It runs all through October with hundreds of events around the UK, all organised by volunteers who know and love their local music scene, all raising money to save lives around the world. 100% profits go to Oxfam. This will get you a wristband for all venues all day & night. Price will increase close to and on the day.

Sean Kelly: Live! – Auctioneering Star of the huge hit TV show, Storage Hunters, Sean Kelly first found a taste of fame through stand-up comedy over 15 years ago. Brighton is lucky enough to get his UK debut show! Sean Kelly has led an unusual life. He grew up in Germany, spent his teenage years in Italy, has worked a Sales Trainer, Publisher, Producer, Stand-up Comedian, Auctioneer, TV presenter, Motivational Speaker, and served an army combat tour in Iraq. Prepare for laughs.

Sarah Kendall: A Day in October – Having won the Comics’ Choice Award at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, multi award-winning comedian Sarah Kendall is back with a hilarious new hour of storytelling. In this hour-long narrative, Sarah takes audiences back to a day in October 1990, when her best friend died for exactly 11 seconds.

Evening at Piano – An intimate evening devoted to the passion of music and the love of the good old days when cabaret and jazz bars were the place to go to. The aim is to mix local talent with established stars from the West End and Music Industry and offer an exclusive chance to enjoy an evening of indulgence and class with live performances full of passion and talent performed by current skilled West End performers and musicians.
