Vegfest UK – One of Europe’s most popular veggie food and lifestyle shows VegfestUK comes to Brighton Centre this weekend! Explore over 160 stalls, plus a Food Village, the UK Vegan Comedy Festival and much more!
Art Junky – An indoor market, at Phoenix Gallery, falling somewhere between quirky jumble sale and art fair. Showcasing local artistic talent and featuring over 50 stalls of unique and affordable art, books, illustrations, music, print, fashion, collectibles, vintage and more.
Neate Photos – Greg Neate has been taking photographs of live music since 1989. In this exhibition, he brings two photography collections; ‘We All Look Good in Black & White’ and ‘Neate at ATP’ to The Old Market. (See venue website for specific opening hours)
The Girlie Show – For the month of March Brush Gallery will be celebrating International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month with an exhibition featuring South-East based female identifying artists.
Blues, brews and BBQ weekender – Craft beer, Southern style BBQ and some of the best live music in town, all followed with a shot of bourbon at the Sidewinder! Party with John Crampton and Bad Bad Whiskey and get down Americana style…
Lout Presents: Four Year Strong – Four Year Strong are the band which helped define a blend of melodic-hardcore and pop-punk over the last decade. With support from Hit the Lights – always firm favourites on the UK shores having toured with all the best bands in pop-punk and Forever Calling – Whose recent album ‘What Matters Most’ was engineered and produced by Kyle Black (New Found Glory, Comeback Kid).
Off the Cuff Stands Up – This month’s comedy spectacular sees Brighton’s improvisation stalwarts, Off the Cuff, enlist some of the very best comedians on the stand-up circuit for a diverse and raucous evenings entertainment. With special guests: Colin Hoult (star of Derek and Only Human), Fraser Geesin and Phil Lucas.
SPECTRUM – A monthly night showcasing the freshest talent from the Brighton music scene. Early Ghost’s most recent single, Everything Goes With It, wonderfully captures their at-the-same-time brightness and mystery. The Galleons are a six-piece Indie-Folk band from Brighton and Brighton post-folkers Seadog are a four piece combining anthemic electric and acoustic textures.
Mad Ghetto – Drop the beat bomb! Lots of soul, ghetto funk, funky breakz, old school hip hop at The Western Front. Luke Bracken is a Brighton veteran that knocks out just good beats in great order with some decent credentials such as playing alongside Zane Lowe! Check out Western Front’s new refurb HERE.
Love Thy Neighbours Presents: THOMAS TRUAX – Thomas Truax taps out live rhythm loops, plucks assorted strings, springs and attached noisemakers, building a backdrop of layered hypnotic sounds on top of which come some of the most striking stories both beautiful and sad.
Count Arthur Strong – Somebody Up There Licks Me – Fresh from donkeys years on his award winning BBC Radio 4 series and the huge success of his BBC2 TV Show, Count Arthur Strong gets back to doing what he does best. This show.
Dictionary Pudding Presents: Happy Meals + Sacred Paws + Apostille – Happy Meals – Absolutely wondrous synth pop trance sounds from Glasgow via France, Sacred Paws – A combination of Rachel Aggs from Trash Kit, Shopping etc, and Eliedh from Golden Grrrls and Apostille – Lots of noise from mouths and electronic devices alike.
