
May Bank Holiday Things To Do: 24th – 26th May
It´s time again for another Bank Holiday and with Brighton Festival, Brighton Fringe Festival and Artists Open Houses in full swing plus many more great events on offer across the city you´ve got no excuse not to get out and about (weather permitting!). Here are our highlights with exhibitions, festivals, musicals, kids cabaret, comedy, arts and crafts, music and even cocktail masterclasses.

Snapshot – Group Exhibition – Ink_d Gallery
The street art scene has recently seen a group of new like-minded artists that share a strong illustrative influence and moved away from traditional pieces and wildstyle. These artists are really pushing the boundaries of street or urban art as we know it. Our show aims to be a ‘snapshot’ of these artist’s latest works.

Elderflower Fields Festival – Pippingford Park
This festival allows you to get down with the kids in the heart of the beautiful Sussex countryside! Kids can try their hand at skateboarding, climbing, mountain biking, parkour, kayaking, raft- building and more! The Merry Maker, and the drunken Botanist cocktail bar present drinks crafted around ingredients foraged on the Stoneham Springs farm, local and international brewers.

Theatre Stramash presents: Brewers Fayre – Brighton Media Centre
“Please remember to enjoy your affair responsibly.” A high-octane ride through the perils of family life and cyber love ending at the Premier Inn. Theatre Stramash wow audiences with a unique and surprising theatre experience in this tale of a trapped couple and their feisty teenage daughter caught in a World Wide Web of lust and betrayal. ‘Brewers Fayre’ is “a small classic of our time” (Joyce McMillan).

Company by Stephen Sondheim – Brighton Little Theatre
An honest, witty, sophisticated look at relationships. On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor Bobby contemplates his unmarried state. In vignette after hilarious vignette, we are introduced to his married friends and three girlfriends, as Bobby weighs the pros and cons of married life. A brilliant must-see musical featuring some all-time classic songs such as ‘Being Alive’, ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ and ‘Side by Side’.
