My Slice Brighton serves up authentic Roman Pizza al Taglio (square pizza by the slice) right in the centre of the city, offering a delicious and surprisingly healthy alternative to your usual soggy sandwich this lunchtime!

My Slice started out it’s life as a pop-up at the ever popular independent supermarket hiSbe on York Place Brighton, where the team perfected and tested out their recipes on eager and willing customers.

‘It’s all about the dough’ at My Slice; a husband and wife team, with 30 years experience in the food industry under their collective belt, brought this little gem to Brighton after travelling to Italy on the quest for the best dough they could find, and now use a secret Roman recipe for a deliciously light and crispy pizza bases.

The ethos behind this lunchtime haven is to create an alternative to the usual boring supermarket sandwiches and offer a homemade delicious choice whether you’re after a wholesome snack or speedy lunch with slices starting from just £2.30!

Toppings range from Spicy Nduja Sausage to Potato, Sea Salt & Rosemary and Anchovy and Black Olives and many more…  We’ve tried their pizzas first hand and we’ve got to say they are some of the best we’ve had in Brighton, delicious sauces, high quality, interesting topping combinations and the tastiest dough outside of Italy itself!

When you think of pizza you hardly think ‘low fat’ but My Slice’s ‘dough stats’ tell a different tale as each slice of baked dough clocks in at just 125 calories making for a surprisingly healthy lunchtime option due to the mix of wheat ‘oo’, soya and sourdough flours. They also cater for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free customers.

It’s not just about the great pizza though as My Slice also serve homemade salads, cakes, cordials and quality coffee as well as the little known farcita sandwich – two slices of tasty dough filled with all manner of delights and then toasted for your eating pleasure. Also if you’re looking for a bargain then you’ve got to try their great value £5.50 meal deal which consists of a slice of pizza, house slaw and a drink. If you need to feed the whole office My Slice offer 12 slice pizza slabs for lunches, events, meetings and parties and you don’t even need to collect as they deliver within a ten minute walk from their shop.

The interior of My Slice matches up to the quality of their pizzas, it’s wonderfully bright, airy and has been lovingly furnished by local tradesmen using reclaimed timber. Pull up a stool in the window to people watch and escape the crowds or take a seat at one of the outside tables to soak up some much needed rays. As an added bonus, if you’d like a cold pint with your pizza you can simply place an order at Crown’s pub (just over the road) and the My Slice team will deliver it to you.

So if you’re looking for something delicious and different to brighten up your mid week lunchtime then head to My Slice Brighton, we promise you won’t be disappointed!
