Get lost in the caves of The Tempest Inn Brighton, a new Seafront pub inspired by Shakespeare with the best views in the City and fantastic food and drink.

Joining the Jamaican-themed Riki Tik Beach Bar and old faithful The Fortune Of War on Brighton Seafront, please welcome the Shakespeare-inspired Tempest Inn, an otherworldly pub with shipwreck inspired furniture and fittings.

This is a pub like no other, downstairs is a warren of caves you could easily get lost in with over a dozen different snugs which seat up to seven fellow explorers. Once you’ve found your favourite cave, you’ll be able to book it out from the website.

If subterranean caves aren’t your bag, head upstairs to the Ariel Bar above which boasts a huge window with fantastic, uninterrupted sea views whether it’s sunny or stormy! Expect an adaptable space hosting events ranging from live music to supper clubs plus the front patio can be used all year round, with shelter provided by umbrella coverings and the hardy plants brought in from the Outer Hebrides.

When it comes to the food and drink, local produce is the order of the day, with bread from The Flourpot Bakery, Brighton and Sussex cheese from the Cheeseman, plus catch of the day from local fishermen. The head chef has worked in some of the most highly regarded restaurants in Brighton and will serve up four meat dishes, four fish and four vegetarian/vegan dishes each day.

At the bar you’ll find the celebrated Laine’s craft beers including Laine’s Pale Ale and IPA, plus there will be craft lagers on offer such as Caledonian Three Hop. In the fridge you’ll find other great craft beers like Pistonhead, Sierra Nevada, Fordham, Monteith’s and Brooklyn plus a range of cask conditioned ales from local Sussex brewers. If beer isn’t your thing there will also be a wide range of gins including King Of Soho and Boodles along with all of your favourites or why not mix it up with cocktails including espresso martinis and seagrog; a glass tankard of Kraken and ginger ale topped with ale foam.

With The Tempest Inn joining Riki Tik Beach Bar and The Fortune Of War on ‘the ramp’, the seafront is about to become a destination for a great night out again. Just don’t get lost in the caves!
