Are you ready to gear yourself up for an epic gig? Clutch comes to Brighton on the 30th April.

Clutch is an American rock band from Maryland, they have a huge fan base and a pretty meaty gig  to play.  Rated highly by Metal Hammer Magazine and NME their music is a mix of Southern rock, metal and blues.

Clutch formed in 1990 (like all good bands) and have since released ten studio albums. Since its formation the band line-up has included Neil Fallon (vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards), Tim Sult (lead guitar, backing vocals), Dan Maines (bass, backing vocals) and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums and percussion). They have released a steady stream of albums in their ten years and their tenth album ‘Earth Rocker’ was featured in many review magazine’s end of the year top 10’s.

They released their own label, River Road Records, in order to escape the “fakery” of the mainstream music industry and they remain true to their music, their fans and the genre of rock. One review of Clutch commented on the amount of beards at Clutch gigs, (this suits me just fine) so expect a perfect combination of beer, beards and banging tunes. (Oh, and they are supporting Electric Wizard at Temples Festival which has to be one of the best combinations ever, and even more beards).
