Besides being an 8-time Sony Gold Award Winning DJ, Christian O’ Connell is also a highly sought after TV presenter and writer. Previously working for XFM, alongside British comedian Ricky Gervais, his current audience reaches over 1.5 million as the host of Absolute Radio’s Breakfast Show. The Radio DJ himself is currently on his way to taking a step back from his usual broadcasting back drop. Parting from the burdens of hosting his own breakfast show and marching into unchartered territory, his stand up debut pocketed him a well fitted place at last year’s Edinburgh festival. Receiving wide spread applause, tickets were instantly snapped up to catch a glimpse of Connell’s first ever stand up appearance with ‘This is 13’. Delving into the depths of his youth we revisit Christian as a newly fledged teen. Christian had begun to create a list of hopeful accomplishments and dreams he would one day go on to achieve. Visiting each vision one by one, Christian narrates through his checklist boasting of his run in with the dark lord, scoring a date with his 80’s crush and a worryingly bizarre challenge with a BMX OAP. Currently making his way across Britain, Christian makes his way down to the shores of Brighton for a riotous performance at the Komedia. Recommended by fellow comic icons Frank Skinner and Gervais himself, this is a night of comic genius not to be missed.
