A Very Vintage Home : The Festive Article

Published On November 17, 2015 | By Rachelle | Brighton Style

Every month Rachelle from Popsicle Interiors will be out and about trawling through the vintage stores to find the most stylish, unique and iconic Brighton vintage furniture pieces for your home.

I know a lot of people don’t want to admit it yet, but I’m just going to get it out there and say…Its nearly Christmas. That’s right, its nearly Christmas and it’s time to get organised. Don’t get caught short this year, think ahead. Bearing in mind all those friends and family who could descend upon you next month, it becomes clear –  you need some more Brighton vintage furniture!

My first find this month happens to be an amazing one; French metal dining chairs at £200 teamed with a £300 white round dining table, both from the 1970s. The combination would look beautiful in any home and just imagine the retro Christmas centrepiece you could have!

If it’s just more dining chairs you need, to cater for that long lost aunty who’s inexplicably gracing you with her presence this year, you can’t lose with these vintage fold up chairs at just £12 each.

This stylish set of 6 vintage Scandanivian stools, costing £180, would also make a great addition to any dining set; whether you wanted to extend your collection of chairs or replace them entirely.

If you wanted to treat a long lost relative to a particularly special seat in your house this Christmas I can’t recommend enough this black leatherette vintage chair, very reasonably priced at £150. Super comfortable and potentially a real stand-out piece in a minimalist front room. A great piece of Brighton vintage furniture.

Infinitely more important than making sure you don’t run out of seating for the extended family, is making sure you don’t run out of storage room for that precious wine that helps make those hours fly. This handy and stylish green industrial unit, retailing at £48.00, is the ideal solution!

During this month’s hunt I was sadly disappointed with the lack of Christmas decorations for sale. The only thing making up for this was finding a lovely vintage Christmas jumper for sale and at just £20 it wouldn’t break the (Santa) bank if it made your list.

That’s it from me until January 2016, when I will hopefully be able to point you in the direction of some great vintage home bargains in the sales! I hope you all have a great festive season!
