Good news everyone – it’s almost August bank holiday and Brighton has risen to the challenge! Bank holiday weekend will bring street parties and mini festivals galore, top exhibitions, a Mod weekender and to top it all both the Circus and The Extreme Stunt Show are coming to town! Party time!
New Untouchables present Brighton Mod Weekender – Komedia and Volks
A firm fixture in the Brighton calendar, August bank holiday will see the Mod Scene return to its spiritual home. An exciting line-up over 3 nights and 2 venues featuring the best Mod DJ’s from around the UK, live bands, a market and record fair, a scooter comp and cruise.

At The Edge of The Sea Two Day Festival – Concorde 2
Featuring The Wedding Present playing ‘Watusi’ and Mini’. Plus Ther Membranes + Cinerama and more TBA! We are pleased to announce that for the sixth edition of At The Edge of The Sea – the annual indoor mini- festival curated by David Gedge – is back for the August bank holiday weekend once more!

War Stories: Voices from the First World War – Brighton Museum & Art Gallery
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War, this exhibition brings to life the wartime experiences of 15 individuals whose intensely personal memories and extraordinary stories reveal the impact of war. Personal letters, diaries, art, photography, costume, film and memorabilia will be on display.

Blue River Falls – One Eyed Jacks Gallery
Photographer Matt Henry has exhibited all over the world and was the recipient of category first place in the International Photographer Awards 2013/14. Blue River Falls has been two years in the making and features professional actors as well as intricate sets designed and built by the artist.

August Bank Holiday Music Festival – The Dyke
Dig out your dancing shoes and shimmy on down to The Dyke as they put on their Bank Holiday music festival with live music! The Grand Parade will play on Friday, Luke Ward on Saturday and Laura Vane and the Lowdown on Sunday. Plus drinks promotions and cocktails all weekend, BBQ food and a festival atmosphere!
