Fiddler’s Elbow- Quizness
The Fiddler’s Elbow is a thriving traditional Irish pub in the heart of Brighton. Said to serve the best pint of Guinness in the city (and probably the cheapest too). You’ll find a great selection of whiskies and ales on offer and also a delicious and hearty pub menu. They have a big screen for sports, including Gaelic Athletics and 6 Nations Rugby, a DJ playing every Saturday night, plus live music four nights a week!
The quiz happens every Tuesday at 8pm, with happy hour all night for quiz entrants. Test your wits against Brighton’s best quiz mistress and win cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place plus something groovy for 2nd last! Food will be served until 9pm.

Sidewinder
The Sidewinder boasts lovely beer, tasty food, great music and two gardens with heated lamps for enjoying any weather! Keep yourselves entertained with old school N64 and SNES games consoles, 4-player Mario Kart, plus a good selection of board games. Not forgetting quality local real ale and cider, and fantastic Mexican food from the chef responsible for Smokin Gringo.
Come to Sidewinder on Wednesdays 8-10pm for a Quiz night with a twist! You’ll find yourself not only answering questions but also taking part in making things and doing physical challenges. This quiz has a £40 bar tab for the winner and prizes for 2nd and 3rd place too. Food will be served until 9.30pm making this a great midweek treat.

Duke of Norfolk
With well-stocked bookshelves, signs and trinkets from bygone eras and a classic noble name, the Duke of Norfolk is bursting with old-school charm. The place has much of the feel of a traditional pub with modern perks like wi-fi too. Children are welcome every day until 8pm. The Duke serves wondrous roasts on Sundays plus an incredible menu from Indian Summer, so there are countless reasons to visit.
The extremely popular weekly quiz at the Norfolk happens every Wednesday from 9-11pm. Why not accompany the quiz with one of the Norfolk’s excellent pies and a pint and win yourself some money or wine, a winning combination! There are drinks promotions all night for quiz entrants.

Caroline of Brunswick – The Geekest Link
The Caroline of Brunswick is a rock and alternative bar with an exciting 60-seater live comedy and music venue upstairs. The eclectic programme of events includes several regular comedy clubs, one-off shows by the country’s top comedians, as well as live music. They serve great food and fantastic drinks; the real ales are Cask Marque-accredited for quality.
The first Sunday of each month is The Geekest Link, Brighton’s only sci-fi and fantasy quiz (check out the website to see the topics), with a regular round of ‘General Nerdage’. Extra points are available if you come in costume! Third Sunday of each month is Ctrl_Alt_Quiz, all about video games, movies and comics. On the other Sundays, it’s the Quite Interesting Pub Quiz, with regular music, picture, general knowledge and TV theme tune rounds.

Ancient Mariner
Light and airy during the day, vibrant and candelit in the evening, The Ancient Mariner is the perfect venue for families, lunch meetings or chilling out – this pub really has it all.
The Ancient Mariner’s Monday night pub quiz is a grand event, featuring cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and second to last place teams. It has a ‘Boozy Bonus’ round, to win wine or the chance to gamble for the ‘accumulator’ cash prize or wine vault. Previous prize totals have reached £113.00 and 24 bottles of wine! The rounds vary each time and are lovingly created by a regular customer who points out that it’s a lighthearted quiz, not for serious folk. All size teams welcome.

The Mucky Duck
Mucky Duck is an independently owned, creatively minded, traditionally styled pub with a modern outlook. Expect traditional and delicious food, regular DJs and live music art by Brighton-based artists on display to buy.
There a two quizzes to choose from at Mucky Duck; ‘Quiz On My Face‘ supports a different charity each time with prizes for the winning team plus the team name on a plaque and bottle of ‘Loser’s Lambrini’ to the team coming last. Rounds include literature, science, music, movies, celebrity facts, sports and general bollocks, drawing, modelling, egg roulette and an eating competition. The other quiz ‘I Should Be So Mucky’ is a pop quiz focussing on music from the 50’s to now-ish! Rounds include trivia, intros, lyrics and pictures with lots to listen to and prizes for the winners.

The Station Pub Hove – The Quiz Station
Probably the most famous of pub quizzes in Brighton, the quiz at The Station in Hove is created and hosted by the city’s most popular quizmaster, Mark Stack. This is the quiz for fun people, not wannabe Einsteins!
The weekly quiz features ever-changing categories, music rounds and TV game-show rounds with the hilarious Family Fortunes round every last Wednesday of the month. All entry money is returned as prizes, typically £100-£120. There are cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 2nd last (anyone can come last but it takes real skill to come 2nd last, so they get cash equal to the 2nd place prize amount). The final question of the night is the Boozy Bonus Question, a random question where the answer is a number. The team with the closest answer wins a bottle of house wine or can gamble with a 1 in 4 chance to win either the Wine Vault or the Accumulator.
